The Alpha tattoo for the Wolf Clan-

Its derived from four lunar phases and would be etched onto the chest or neck with a blessed bone needle in four separate increments starting from the left and working forward. The tattoo symbolizes rank in clan as well as warrior status for both men and women (both female and male wolves hunt in actual wolf packs). The chief or alpha of the Wolf Clan would be the only member of the pack to have a colored center. All else are in simple tribal black.

As long as you were Alpha you would have a colored center, if not then just plain tribal

XD that's the beauty of it, this is coming from my head. i'm a writer and i've been throwing around Clan tattoos for about six years now but never got around to actually drawing them. =) i was finally inspired by Michelle Paver's book series Chronicals of Ancient Darkness to put my designs on paper. The little short stories i add to each tattoo design is my way of stretching my writers legs and come up with something new and different.

That's actually what I thought it was. I know quite a bit about ancient mythologies and I've never heard anything like this. It's simply awesome, keep it up ^^.
