Deviousness |
I've only watched it once, in London, but it moved me so much. It's just.....fantastic.
I have all the music, and the Grimmerie-book - which includes the whole manuscript....
And I LOVED to see all those...those....cogwheels? on the stage!!!!
This is a perfect icon for Wicked!!!!!
I would love to see Wicked in London at some point, whenever I have the chance to get over there. But for now seeing it in New York and Washington DC is enough. I've read the books, have the Grimmerie and the sheet music and a personalized bag signed by Idina Menzel....god I didn't realize how much of a fangirl I am
Anyway, I like how they made the play feel a little steampunkish with all the cogs and gears!
I have the Grimmerie, and the sheetmusic, and the book (haven't read it yet, though....*shameful blush*
GOD, I'm envious of you!!!! A bag signed by Idi...I mean, Elphaba!??!?!
We got a quick tour backstage at the show in London, though. To stand on that stage, even if it was dark and the curtains closed... GOD, it felt great! And to see the fantastic costumes up close, despite not being allowed to touch.... It was GREAT! We didn't get to meet any of the actors, though. We passed the Wizard in the hall, but that was it. The others went home really quickly.
I would love to get the chance to go back stage. At the Kennedy Center in D.C. they had a few of the outfits on display in the lobby but I'd love to be able to see them up close. Can you believe that Elphaba's dress is worth over $30,000?! So far the only actress I've met face to face was the woman who played Nessarose in New York, and that was brief to say the least.
